Hi! I’m Liz Skinner, an upcoming Industrial Design graduate at Western Michigan University passionate about improving lives and transforming how we interact with products.

I have completed internships at Moen and Newell Brands, working across a variety of brands and product categories. At Moen, I contributed to a range of styles in home fixtures. I had the opportunity to design a lighting collection that has since gone into production and is now available for retail sale. At Newell, I worked on projects for a variety of brands and products, one of which was placed under invention disclosure. These experiences strengthened my ability to design within brand systems, collaborate cross functionally, and move concepts toward manufacturable outcomes.

My focus is on creating authentic, user-centered designs that not only address everyday challenges but also build meaningful emotional connections. I believe great design goes beyond functionality, enhancing experiences and ultimately enriching lives.
